Vintage (Loose, 100% Complete, Working) 1979 Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon    Vintage (Loose, 100% Complete, Working) 1979 Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon
Vintage (Loose, 100% Complete, Working) 1979 Kenner Star Wars Millennium Falcon (including Jedi Training Remote and Arm) with Instruction Sheet Insert. Original owner; original parts (no reproductions/replacements). As the title states, this is a 100% complete and working Millennium Falcon (including Jedi training remote and arm) with the instruction insert. The cockpit canopy opens and closes without issue.

When it's closed, it still snaps shut. The hinge is intact, and stays locked under the cockpit unit fairly well. The forward landing strut/handle operates smoothly and tightly--when it's folded into the body, it stays up. The rear landing gear still operate.

The tabs at the top of the struts (meant to keep them up) are unbroken on both. The tabs in the middle (meant to keep them down, presumably) are unbroken on both. The removable top still fits well, and both tabs are intact. The gunner's chair is intact, and spins, and still has the ratchet tab/device meant to create sound when it's spun. The quad-cannon at the top still spins completely, and raises up and down.

The radar dish unit is largely intact and still spins--it also raises and lowers (more below). The training remote and the arm are intact (the training arm still fits on its designated post inside the play area).

The removable smuggler's false floor fits properly both on the floor, and in the ceiling tabs for storage. The Dejarik table still fits on its post, too--and is in good condition. As of February 2020, the motor for the "battle sound" still sounds when the firing button is depressed (I did gently clean the contacts with very fine sandpaper to check that the motor worked). I don't quite recall how loud it was originally, or what the tone was, so I don't know if either of those things have changed to any degree. The ramp is intact at the hinge, and operates as it should--including remaining closed in the "up" position (which means, of course, that tab is intact). The ramp struts are also still entirely intact. The landing struts still keep the Falcon in landing position, and off the ground (more below). The cardboard backdrop inside the Falcon is in really good condition, I think.

No signs of water damage, etc. I did notice a bit of a shallow... Crease, for lack of a better word, near the ramp. I don't think it's too bad, but... The instruction sheet is in really good condition.

It was kept in a manila folder, so there isn't too much of anything going on with it in terms of damage. It's not flawless, but I've got documents from yesterday that are in worse condition. I think you're getting a really fine example of an original instruction sheet. The canopy glass is dented in some spots (a near disaster involving the teeth of a childhood pet dog--"Duke, " if you're interested). The radar dish stanchion leans (not too noticeably) to one side, but should be fixable with a near-boiling hot water bath to soften the plastic and some gentle nudging, and one of the support legs seems to have been fractured (horizontally, approximately 3/4 of the way up that leg) and repaired. Some decals are worn, but I believe all are still there. The decals are all original.

The Jedi training remote has signs of play wear, and the accompanying arm also shows signs of use (one can see the tell-tale white of stress on the plastic near the post hole, but there are no stress fractures). See picture #6 (quad pane) for some of these issues. One of the rear landing struts occasionally loses its battle with age, and the Falcon will slowly sink/list to that side, as the strut auto-retracts--it does NOT, however, fail completely that I'm aware of (I'd guess that it sinks 1/4, to 1/2 inch when it refuses to work perfectly).

If you're looking for a mint condition out-of-box Falcon, this--naturally--wouldn't qualify. This was played with often, and enjoyed A LOT, for quite a few years more than three decades ago, and there are signs of that. Like most kids, I wasn't really thinking long term, and certainly had no idea anyone but myself would care about this thing in 2020.

That said, it is in rather good condition when all of these things are considered. She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid.

(No special modifications were made, however, by myself or anyone else).
