RARE VINTAGE 1981 KENNER STAR WARS AT-AT WALKER VEHICLE with Complete AT-AT Driver

  
THIS IS ONE OF THE TOYS THAT MADE US! Outside of the almost comically large G. Joe USS Flagg, which seemingly none of us had, but all of us knew the one kid in town who did, THIS WAS THE MOST MASSIVE TOY OF THE 1980's!! It towered above action figures which cowered from behind makeshift Dixie cup turrets and couch cushion trenches in living room Hoth Battles throughout our childhoods. It fired its cannons after carefully aiming with its moving head (controlled like a puppet from inside which works silky smoothly to this day, up down left and right), it was the biggest dang toy any of us had owned outside of a Big Wheel.

Here is how a recent collectors Blog summed it up. One of Kenner's largest. Toys, the AT-AT was every. With movable "limbs" and "head, " not to mention clear "chin guns, " which lit up and pumped back and forth when a trigger inside the toy was activated, the AT-AT had a lot to offer.

The two "chin guns" are frequently missing from loose versions. I attached an original SEARS catalog AD with the Pics as well, and no it doesn't include the things pictured in the SEARS AD, I hope that goes without saying but I'll say it anyways. This version is from the original 1981 release of the AT-AT (All-Terrain Armored Transport), although Kenner did release another version in 1982 and then a 1983 version that was Return of the Jedi themed and came with stickers of jungle debris and moss on it.

You might recall it made a brief appearance in the film when Luke surrendered himself to Vader on Endor spoiler alert... This comes with the original AT-AT Driver in his complete state including his rifle and an acrylic stand I threw in, so you'll be ready to drive this right out of the box... This is my childhood toy, I treasured it and took good care of it. Overall great shape in my opinion, but I included a bunch of pics so you can examine them carefully and message me with any questions. Like all my vintage or collectible items this is an "As Is" sale.

I hate that I have to do it that way, but scammers would order stuff and then return it with a different item in the box and claim that was what I sent, so this is how it must be done. Only issues would be stickers peeling in places, but I think they are all there. It hasnt been tested for light or sound because I couldn't find "D" batteries in my town, but a few years ago I had it working, cant say for sure now though.

The battery compartment is in one of the pictures and is included, as is the light bulb under the head. The only thing missing is the clear under mount guns for the head which as the blurb above stated happens often.

I don't remember if this version had a small string that attached to the inside where a figure could climb up. I thought that this version didn't come with it, but if it did I don't have it.
